Jungle Rain

Jungle Rain is a café and restaurant located in Paúl da Serra on the outskirts of Calheta. A unique restaurant of its kind in Madeira that is part of a hotel found on a mountain top in a relaxed area with magnificent mountain views. This restaurant has an interior jungle theme with plants, trees and flowers as well as animated wild animals such as lions, elephants, anacondas, gorillas and crocodiles. There is also the occasional show with jungle sounds such as thunder and rain. The restaurant specializes in international and typical Madeiran cuisine with a good selection of fish and many meat dishes on the menu. You can also choose between a pleasant variety of salads, soups and rice dishes. Jungle Rain also has a bar and lounge. During certain seasons the atmosphere is good. Low season can be quiet. Great for children and for hikers.
