La Pasta

La Pasta is an Italian restaurant founded on 1st March 2007 having created a new identity with the arrival of its new management on 1st August 2014. Primarily Italian, La Pasta is dedicated to serving Italian cuisine from pastas, pizzas, grilled meats and fish, southern Italian dishes, vegan, vegetarian and Mediterranean dishes. All dishes are freshly prepared and use the freshest of ingredients and of the highest quality.

It is one of the first restaurants in Madeira to adopt the Anti-pasti into its menu where you'll find a variety of options to choose from accompanied by 2 slices of focaccia bread (bread topped by the chef with nuts, oregano, purple onion and rosemary). Straight after this selection you can also opt for the Bruschetta (tomato, garlic, olive oil and basil) and or the Crostini Misto (salmon, smoked-ham, Pesto and mozzarella cheese).

La Pasta's biggest mission is to be different from traditional pizzerias, and does so by highlighting its various types of pastas. Clients get to choose what kind of Pesto and sauces they would prefer, among vegan or vegetarian options as well meaning clients are given an opportunity to create their own personalised menu. The restaurant also boasts varied types of salad, grilled dishes and homemade desserts which include Tiramisú, the Boa "Morte", the Panna Cotta, chocolate Mousse, cheese cake and seasonal fruits.

Its interior is made up of very emblematic colours whereby the reds exemplify the colours of sauces; the yellows are characteristic of the colours of pastas; and the green furniture, the colours of lettuces. This area can seat up to a total of 42 people. The outside esplanade seats up to 64 people and offers various tables and chairs covered by a canopy where clients are able to enjoy a view across various old buildings that exist in the area in a calm and tranquil manner.
