The Restaurante O Regional is one of Madeira Island's traditional restaurants lined-up on the Rua Dom Carlos I road in the 'Old Town' area of Funchal. O Regional is a restaurant that specializes in typical Madeiran gastronomy and is well valued for its consistency in quality foods and service. Specialties comprise regional meat skewers, cod-fish, grilled scabbard fish and a regional fish soup. Provides a spacious indoor dining room with traditional décor as well as two outdoor seating areas; a large esplanade with parasols located at the front of the restaurant facing the seafront and a back area which allows you to dine in a typical Madeiran alley with surrounding doors and walls painted by local artists. Pleasant and relaxed atmosphere with helpful staff.

Summary:
Excellent food and service

I have been coming to Madeira since 2008 and this restaurant I always come back to. The food is excellent and the staff are very friendly and attentive. The food always comes in good time even when busy and the restaurant is always looks very clean and all the tables are immaculately laid out. One of the best in Madeira
