Frente ao Sol

The Frente ao Sol restaurant, which first opened its doors 25 years ago, is characterized as a family-oriented restaurant. This restaurant specializes in fish dishes such as wrasse, black scabbardfish, tuna steaks and damselfish as well as seafood dishes like limpets, winkles, octopus and prawns. The restaurant's special is fried octopus and is considered by many as being the best octopus dish in Madeira. The restaurant also serves many meat dishes including Espetada, steaks or Prego, Picado and roasted chicken. Apart from the restaurant area, the Frente ao Sol also has a bar and esplanade.
