Cantinho da Serra

The Cantinho da Serra restaurant is a delightful balance of a relaxed ambiance, good food and gracious service. A restaurant that offers that 'extra touch'. Located on the way to Pico Ruivo, Madeira Island's tallest mountain, the Cantinho da Serra restaurant is slightly hidden away and from the outside looks like a Madeiran country house. Its interior design is lovely and homely with fresh colours and offers panoramic views. There is a main dining room and other smaller spaces designed for more intimate dining. The menu consists in homemade Portuguese delicacies marinated in regional herbs and wine all served in a clay platter. You can find cod, rabbit, lamb, goat and chicken on the menu and appetizing homemade desserts and fresh fruit also. In terms of beverages, there is a good wine list and local liqueurs to choose from.
